SWORD’S FUSION TRANSMITTALS MANAGER –
ACCELERATING GLOBAL PROJECTS
Release date September 1st 2007
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SWORD Group, the international specialist IT Products and
Services Provider and a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, are delighted to
announce availability of the Fusion Transmittals Manager application for their
established Fusion solution, an innovative web based Project Document Control
tool for streamlining and de-risking Capital Projects.
Fusion Transmittals Manager significantly lowers the cost and
commercial risks associated with managing Engineering and Construction Capital
Projects whilst reducing errors, improving quality and ensuring reusable Best
Practice.
Fusion operates on leading ECM platforms including Cimage,
FileNet P8 and SharePoint 2007. Fusion leverages the latest Microsoft .NET2 web
platform allowing all remote parties to securely access critical information on
demand, from any location, without installing client software. Commercial risk
is greatly mitigated through reduction in errors and delays and a full audit
trail.
Project lifecycles are reduced both on startup and completion.
Reusable templates and distribution lists and matrices enable projects to get up
and running quicker. Fusion’s real time handover dossier feature means projects
are completed and handed over to Operations in days instead of months saving up
to millions of pounds per project, providing better value for clients and
delivering competitive advantage to EPC Contractors.
Optional integration with Microsoft SharePoint delivers a
simple, friendly and secure collaboration tool for external stakeholders,
negating client roll-outs, reducing training costs and delivering low total cost
of ownership.
Karl Noakes, Director of Partner Development and Marketing at
Microsoft UK said "As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, SWORD is among the
elite of the Microsoft partner community. Our Gold partners are highly equipped
to deliver business-driven technology solutions to their customers and are
highly valued by Microsoft."
