BEST OF BOTH WORLDS – SWORD ANNOUNCES INTEGRATION BETWEEN CIMAGE’S FUSION AND MICROSOFT’S SHAREPOINT

SWORD, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is pleased to announce a two way integration between their Cimage Fusion product and Microsoft’s SharePoint product. The resulting system combines the security and control of the Fusion document repository with the information sharing and collaboration of SharePoint.

Fusion within SharePoint provides Microsoft SharePoint users with capability to search the Fusion repository, retrieve and submit documents. Thanks to an intelligent link between the two systems, when documents in the Fusion repository are updated, these can be automatically reflected in SharePoint to ensure that everybody is looking at the latest version. The ability for SharePoint users to utilise the Fusion repository without requiring them to leave their native SharePoint environment, enables the wider roll-out of the Fusion benefits with minimal extra training.

SharePoint within Fusion provides Fusion users with the ability to participate in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration facilities including project discussion threads and project lists such as contacts, tasks and issues – all from within their familiar Fusion environment.
